SUMMARY :
What a day. The first annual "Codfish Classic" was a tremendous success. I brought along my nephew Leif and joined up with my brother and my godson David. We all had such a great day it was hard to tell who had the most fun. The boys made us proud, catching cod and reeling them in with minimal assistance from 200-foot depths (no easy task). My brother and I got to relive our first fishing trip with our Dad through the boy's eyes.

The Father-Son karma was overpowering today, providing my brother with the biggest cod of his life. He tried to let David reel it in but fifteen pounds of fish 200 feet down is a bit much for a nine-year old. What memories though. Although today was a bit of a slow pick, the absolute glass- calm weather (which contributed detrimentally to the bite) was perfect for the kids. See some of the fish details above for a breakdown of the entire trip.
