SUMMARY :

What a wonderful day today was. Forget the fact that, once again, I caught over forty fish in four hours at this pond. What made today extra special for me was that my mom asked to join me. Incredible, when you consider that I have never known her to fish my entire life. When I was a kid she would take me to the local pond and read a book while my brother and I fished. But, for whatever reason, she wanted to join me today. And, my oh my, can she fish. My mom caught 21 fish today including nine yellow perch, six bluegills, four white perch, and two pumpkinseeds. At 66 years young, she outfished many a fisherman half her age. I know I'll never forget it. Now she wants to know when she can go again. Fantastic. I should mention that in addition to the fish you see listed above, I also caught two five-ounce bluegills for a total of 12 'gills; two additional pumpkinseed for a total of 7 'seeds; seven additional white perch for a total of 10 whities; and seven additional yellow perch for a total of 10 'yellas. That's 41 fish in four hours. What a day.
