SUMMARY :

Absolutely perfect conditions. For the most part, the water was glass calm, it was mostly cloudy, and there was a full moon. Landed three of my largest bass of the year, including one not counted that broke my line trying to get him in the boat. Of course, that was my biggest bass. I swear that this will be the last time I don't carry a net with me. I found that most of the calico bass tended to hang near the middle of the pond and preferred brighter colored lures. In addition to the fish recorded above, I also boated 14 white perch five ounces or less for a total of 17 white perch. I also landed 5 more yellow perch that were less than five ounces for a total of 7 yellow perch; and I boated 2 additional calico bass for a total of 10 calicos; 2 additional bluegills for a total of 7 'gills; and 1 other pumpkinseed for a total of 3 'seeds. If you're countin', that's 47 fish in four hours! Wow.
