SUMMARY :
You wonder why I love fishing? I've been fishing for over 35 years now and I can honestly say that I have yet to have the same trip twice. Something is always different. For starters, this had to be the warmest trip I have ever taken in April. The high wind pretty much made tossing plugs a futile effort. As I've said in the past, the jig and the spinner are the most versatile of lures and they proved that again today with five different species of fish. In fact, I had so much success with the spinner that I didn't even get a chance to try the jig.

The brown trout color certainly was the most effective, however, the bright chartreuse/lime Rooster Tail tallied the biggest fish of the day. Also different today was the golden shiner - it is only the second one I have ever caught.
